By registering for this Workshop, you and your partner (collectively referred to as "Participant," "Attendee," or "You") agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before finalizing your registration.

1. Psychoeducational Nature of the Workshop (Not Therapy)

  • Educational Scope: This Workshop is strictly an educational and skills-building program based on the research of Dr. John Gottman and The Gottman Institute.

  • No Professional Therapy: It does not constitute clinical couples therapy, marital counseling, psychiatric treatment, or medical advice.

  • No Therapist-Client Relationship: Participation does not establish a therapist-client or clinical relationship between you and the workshop leader(s), even if the leader is a licensed mental health professional in another capacity.

2. Participant Suitability and Exclusions

  • Crisis Exclusion: This educational Workshop is designed for couples looking to strengthen their relationship. It is not appropriate for couples experiencing active domestic violence, severe physical or emotional abuse, unmanaged mental health conditions, or active substance dependency.

  • Right to Screen and Terminate: The organizers reserve the right to screen participants. If the organizers determine that the Workshop is not suitable for your relationship needs, your registration may be cancelled, and a transfer or alternative arrangement will be offered at the organizer's discretion.

3. Registration, Fees, and Strict Transfer Policy

  • Dual Attendance Required: Because the core of this program relies on partner-to-partner exercises, both partners must be present and participate for the duration of the Workshop.

  • No Refunds: All registration fees are non-refundable. Once payment is processed and workshop materials are ordered, no monetary refunds will be issued for any reason.

  • Transfer Policy: If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to an available future workshop date hosted by Healing Waves.

    • 24-Hour Notice Requirement: You must request your transfer in writing at least 24 hours before the scheduled workshop start time.

    • One-Year Expiration: Your registration credit is valid for up to one (1) year from the date of the original scheduled workshop, subject to the availability of upcoming sessions.
